Description
Nigel Cabourn needs very little introduction, but deserves one nonetheless: having over 50 years experience designing and working in the menswear industry, with multiple decades-old brands and international stores with cult followings under his belt. His eponymous brand has a focus on practical and hard-wearing textiles from vintage workwear, producing inspired takes on classic military apparel from the last century.
Quintessential Cabourn, the French Work Jacket is a balanced mixture of historical references. The cut and design comes from a rare French work jacket dated to the 1940s, with this edition made from a dry and rigid hemp canvas fabric with an undyed finish and British Army buttons.
This run is made from an extremely crunchy and solid hemp canvas fabric. Though thick and stiff, it will break in quickly, softening to something more akin to a linen denim over time. The undyed body will also develop a beautiful and unique patina over time, as the fabric stains easily and takes in pigments from just about anything you touch.
True to size with a relaxed fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
