W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high-quality, heritage-inspired garments for women — with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converted shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops and artisans.
The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, "She Rode the Dawn," takes inspiration from the earliest days of women's motorcycle culture, celebrating the female dispatch riders of WWII. These pioneering women proved invaluable to the Allied war effort, racing across dark and dangerous roads under threat of German bombs to ensure that vital information got where it needed. The styles pull from military and motorcycle influences, pairing utilitarian details with more feminine silhouettes and unique, premium textiles.
W'Menswear's Football Tee is an oversized athletic tee with extra large sleeves and net webbing details for ventilation, as well as a contrasting ringer-tee-style collar. It's roomy and drapes well, with half-length sleeves that are also extra wide, to exaggerate the silhouette further.
It's made from a 150gsm American cotton knit with a micro-brushed finish to soften the fabric even further. On close inspection, you'll see that even the "webbing" on each sleeve is an indigo dyed Japanese mesh lace, and is 100% cotton, just like the rest of the fabric. It's comfortably lightweight, breathing easily thanks to the oversized cut and narrow knit.
