Description
The Double Breasted Jacket is a modified version of DBF's 3-button Traveler Jacket, taking inspiration from the French Union des Artistes Modernes, an architectural movement that lasted from the early to mid 20th century. Halfway between a casual jacket and a more formally-tailored one, it can be dressed up or down easily thanks to its elevated details and slightly slouchy fit, making it an ideal jacket for trains, planes, automobiles, or however you travel.
It's made from a lightweight super 130's wool fabric, woven in Italy using raw wool fibers from Australia. The sheep who grow the wool are raised WITHOUT Mulesing, an agricultural practice that involves removing a large chunk of wool-growing skin from the sheep's hindquarters to reduce risk of a pest infection called flystrike. The airy finished fabric is left unlined, allowing for a more relaxed and unstructured fit — it's a comfortably light and breathable material that can be worn regularly throughout the year, as high-quality wool is a performance textile in hot and cold temperatures.
Closing up with real horn buttons, it features two external pockets and a casual flat hem, making it comfortable and easy to throw on or take off while you're on the move. It's produced by the atelier of Mr. Erbas in Pantin, France.
