Burgundy CXL is a tea-core leather that will darken over time and scuff to brown with wear. It also has a pronounced pull-up effect, meaning that when the leather is stretched or under tension, it will appear lighter in color, leading to a variation in shade across the different panels of the boot. It comes alive in direct sunlight, where the various tonal highs and lows of the deep red leather become most most visible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs far as leather goes, it's thick and sturdy, starting out noticeably stiff and requiring a few weeks of good wear to really break-in. After that, the leather begins to relax considerably, moulding to take the shape of the wearer's foot and softening at flex points to move more easily.
