Description
The foundation for what would eventually become Bagjack was laid in the early 1990s, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, when the eventual-founders of the brand first saw visiting Americans wearing messenger bags during the 1993 Bicycle Courier World Championships. Completely taken by the stylish and functional bags the American couriers wore, and unable to find anything like them in Europe, the two set out to making their own, eventually launching Bagjack in 1997 in their home of Berlin, where the brand remains today.
The TRVL ("Travel") Duffle is Bagjack's highly functional duffle style, with an extra heavy-duty strap and extensive webbing details on top of the extremely-spacious interior and soft body that allows for it to be compressed into a much smaller size, or overstuffed, depending on your needs. Like Bagjack's other styles, it features a robust and heavy-duty construction, which isn't immediately obvious given that the entire bag weighs under 2lbs empty, with a lightweight and highly-durable coated nylon body.
All the trims were carefully considered as well, from the adjustable 40mm removable body strap — which features a padded front, hefty metal carabiners, and a cobra quick-release buckle — to the waterproof YKK zipper and double carrying handles. The webbing reinforcements include additional clips that can be moved around the bag and used to affix additional objects (or more bags) to this one, so you have less to worry about.
