Though it is sanforized (essentially, treated for shrinkage), it comes raw and unwashed, and will shrink very slightly, between 1-3% overall after washing the first time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree different types of indigo go into this particular century denim: American Indigo (No. 1, in Kapital's lingo), Japanese Indigo (No. 2), and Natural Indigo (No. 3). Each of the yarns - warp, weft, and sashiko - are rope-dyed with one indigo for maximum fading potential, and each Indigo will fade differently over time. It also has the ability to bleed about 3 times as much indigo as the average denim jacket of this size, so be aware of crocking and dye transfer, especially early on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Monkey fit is an update to the original Cisco fit. The rise is higher, the seat and thighs are fuller, and there's a slight taper below the knee. These will still fit over a pair of boots comfortably.
